DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES

The Department of Human Services is still able to provide services including virtual disaster assistance safely even in light of recent COVID-19 cases in Douglas.  Older adults who may be at higher risk may be especially interested in these online options.  We encourage residents to seek out credible COVID-19 information sources such as:

Although the Department of Human Services building is currently closed to the public due to COVID-19, the Department will continue to provide services and information safely online, by phone and by U.S. mail.

Please continue to report all suspicions of child or adult abuse or neglect to 1.844.264.5437. This line is answered 24 hours day, 7 days a week, year-round. 

Please call 303.688-4825 for all questions and/or assistance regarding our services. Department staff will be answering calls and providing assistance during the business hours of 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
