Mayor
I’m a fourth-generation Larkspur native with family roots dating back to 1860, when they first arrived by covered wagon. My great-grandfather was the original owner of the corner market and purchased a home in the Larkspur Heights neighborhood in 1920—where members of my family still reside today. Although I have travelled extensively and lived abroad, Larkspur has always remained my home. In 2016, my husband and I purchased our home directly across the street from my family’s homestead, reaffirming my long-term commitment to the community. As a local business and property owner, I’m deeply invested in the town’s success and strongly support community involvement and responsible, thoughtful growth by protecting Larkspur’s values, and small-town charter. As a community-focused leader, I believe decisions should be guided by facts, fairness, and reason. I am fully committed to preserving Larkspur for future generations and raising my family with the same appreciation for the Town’s history, integrity, and sense of community.
Mayor Pro-Tem
As a proud Colorado native, I’ve been delighted to call Larkspur “home” since 2018. My interest in local government began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when I started attending town hall meetings and became deeply engaged with the challenges our community was facing. In 2023, when a council member resigned, I saw an opportunity to step up and contribute more directly to the town I love.
I hold degrees in International Business and Marketing, as well as an MBA. My professional journey began in the non-profit sector before transitioning into marketing roles within B2B tech companies. Today, I work remotely as a marketing analytics manager for a cybersecurity company—a career that not only challenges me professionally but also gives me the flexibility to stay connected with our vibrant community. Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, whether skiing, camping, or relaxing on the patio with family and friends.
Larkspur is truly a special place, made even more extraordinary by its people. My goal is to “keep Larkspur Larkspur” by preserving its small-town charm and close-knit community, while applying a thoughtful, business-minded approach to foster sustainable growth. In a rapidly changing world, I am dedicated to helping our town thrive without losing the unique character and spirit that make it so remarkable.
It is an honor to serve this community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Larkspur's bright future.

I would first like to say that it is an honor and a privilege to serve this community. After my tour of duty in the Army had ended, I returned to Denver where I had grown up and soon after found Larkspur. I immediately fell in love with the place and have lived here since 2014. It is rare to find such a gem surrounded by nature. How I did not find out about this town sooner is a mystery to me. I hope to keep that small town environment by implementing measures that will control growth in this town so that any future developments stay within the vision and ideals of the residents of Larkspur.

My name is Paul D. Bowers.
I was blessed with the opportunity to move back to Larkspur thirteen years ago. Since then, I married Lisa Bowers. I have five children, 10 grandchildren +1 on the way and am currently employed with ASR Companies. I'm excited and proud to be on my second term on the Larkspur Town Council.

I first moved to Larkspur in March of 2003, during the four-foot snowstorm we had that month. Over the last 23 years my wife and I have rebuilt our home ourselves, more or less from the ground up. I also built a shop behind the house where I do metalwork in the summers.
My wife, Susanne, and I have two daughters, both of whom will be in high school next year. I've taught biology for the last 25 years at Cherry Creek High School and I've been the coordinator of the science department for the last eight years. My wife has been at the same school teaching German for 22 years. We enjoy spending time at home in our beautiful town, as well as traveling back to the Midwest to visit family.
I was previously on the Larkspur Town Council from 2005 to 2010, originally appointed to fill a vacancy, and then elected to a four-year term from 2006 to 2010. In my first year Myrna Been was the mayor. I then served as mayor pro tem under Sherilyn West for my remaining four years. At that time our first daughter was born, and I decided to step back from the council to focus on our family. We love our little town of Larkspur and have enjoyed watching it change over the years, while still maintaining its small-town "feel". I was on the council when we moved forward with the plans for the town park and I'm proud of what it has become. I would like to see more of this for Larkspur...improving what we have when and where we can but maintaining the look and feel of our small town.

I moved to Colorado in 2016, and to Larkspur in 2018 after building our house here. I've been coming to Colorado for over 30 years to visit family north and south of Denver. I've been a member of Universal Freemasonry for about 31 years and have loved Larkspur since the first moment I arrived. I worked in the Bay Area (CA) in various tech companies in a wide variety of positions, from customer service and coding to engineering and professional services. I did that until I retired from tech in 2023 to begin new ventures. Now, I am a leadership coach, working nationwide with clients, speaking about leadership, and training. I write, do watercolors, and travel whenever possible. I've been a member and chair of Larkspur's Board of Adjustments for over four years and have enjoyed how our town has flourished in the past decades. I very much look forward to serving Larkspur residents and the town itself!

I’m a new member of the Larkspur community - I moved here with my family in November 2024. Originally raised in Maryland, I have been in Colorado since 2012. I hold a MS degree in Parks and Recreation, and I am the lead Horticulturist for the City of Denver Golf Courses. I have a 2-year-old daughter and a wife who is a Professor at the Air Force Academy. I am serving on town council because I want to serve the community. I love the unique gem that is Larkspur and want to keep it an amazing place for my daughter to grow up. It is an honor to serve our town’s best interests with the perspectives and knowledge I’ve gained in working for many municipalities and to manage our growth in a sustainable and thoughtful manner. Please feel free to contact me with any comments, questions or concerns.
